MINI-RETREAT yin yoga + Tibetan singing bowls (12 Nov 14:00-17:00) (Copy) (Copy)

Fully relax

with yin yoga and sound healing

This mini-retreat is centered around trusting yourself and your own body. With a sharing circle, yin yoga, and a sound bath, we enable you to turn inwards and fully relax. For all of you who want to feel more connected to your own body and mind, and the world around you.

Sharing circle
We start this mini-retreat with a sharing circle and time to write down your intention. Doing so, helps you to reflect, focus and connect.

Yin yoga
Marijke guides our yin yoga class today. In yin yoga, you’re holding the poses for a longer period of time, which helps you to stretch and lengthen your ligaments, joints and fascia, while also teaching you to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely. Yin yoga has a strong meditative and relaxing effect, helping you to turn inwards and trust your own body.

Tibetan singing bowls
Afterward, Daphne provides a sound bath with her singing bowls. This is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience that can bring balance, relaxation, and a sense of calm to your whole being. The vibrations created by singing bowls produce harmonics that can move you into different brainwave states, associated with sleep, meditative and peaceful states. This slows down the heart and respiratory rate and can reduce feelings of tension, anxiety and dejection.
