MINI RETREAT | Yin Yoga + Yoga Nidra (8 Oct 14:00-17:00)

Autumn is almost around the corner: the time to start to turn inwards and embrace the dark that is coming our way. With this mini-retreat, we’ll guide you into this season, helping you to rest and slow down 🍂

YIN YOGA

We start with a Yin Yoga practice connected to the metal element. Metal is the element connected to autumn in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the system on which Yin Yoga is based. Focusing on this element, helps you to let go of what’s no longer needed, to accept sadness and see the beauty of it. This results in lightness and peace of mind.

 

YOGA NIDRA

After this, Erika will take you into an even more relaxed state with a Yoga Nidra practice that brings stability, peace, and warmth. As you lie down and listen to Erika's voice, she puts you into the Deep Sleep State: empty of thoughts, full of awareness and insight.  

In Yoga Nidra, we work with the three doshas, the energetic forces of nature according to the Ayurvedic system. In autumn, the Vata Dosha increases. The dryness, roughness, and mobility of Vata can cause complaints such as dry skin, colds, cold hands and feet, painful joints, constipation, and fear. This practice will lower your Vata and bring your body and mind back into balance.

PROGRAM

We start this mini-retreat with a small sharing circle and time to write down your intention. After the practice of yin and nidra, there is time to share experiences or rest a little more to take it all in. We provide tea, fruits, and vegan chocolate.

We provide mats, pillows, and blankets to ensure your comfort. However, feel free to bring any additional items that will enhance your relaxation, such as warm socks or an eye pillow. You’re invited to bring pen and paper too, to write down your intentions and anything that comes to mind
